The Alnwick Garden and Alnwick Castle are within easy reach, as is our fabulous coastline, with its many castles and secluded sandy beaches. You could visit historic towns such as Alnwick, Morpeth or Berwick, and the busy city of Newcastle is only an hour away.
Further afield you have Hadrian’s Wall and Kielder Water.
However, for those not wanting to venture too far, a visit to the attractive market town of Rothbury offers excellent facilities and a chance to visit Cragside, the former home of Lord Armstrong, industrialist and entrepeneur, which is now owned by the National Trust., Nestling in the picturesque village of Alwinton, Stonecrop stands amongst some of the most outstandingly beautiful and unspoilt landscape in Northumberland.
The area is a paradise for the hill walker, mountain biker or those just wanting to enjoy the peace and seclusion of the countryside.
