The Coach House, on possibly the finest terrace of listed Georgian Town Houses in Alnwick, is located in the conservation area, close to the famous Barter Books, and only a short walk into the Town Centre, Alnwick Castle and Alnwick Garden and its Treehouse.

Two stylishly refurbished rooms are available, taking their theme from the original use of the building, The Tack Room and The Grooms Loft.

The Tack Room 

This room can be either a B&B room or  Self-catering accommodation. It has its own separate access with parking right outside the gate to the large private decked area with flower planters and ornamental trees. There is garden funiture for your use and it is an ideal spot to sit out and have a glass of wine before walking down the lane into town to find somewhere to eat.

The room itself is vaulted and pannelled and decorated and equipped to a high stand to reflect its heritage, offering a very comfortable king-size bedroom area with an adjoining en-suite that offers a double drench shower.

• There is a lounge area furnished with a two seater leather sofa and a flat sceen TV with free Netflix and Wi-fi.
• There is a fully fitted kitchen and a bar table where breakfast is served each morning.
• For self-catering guests there is a small wood-burning stove – ideal if you are self catering in the winter months.

The Grooms Loft

This room is located in the main house with its own separate staircase and is where the groom lived when it was an active coach house. The stairs lead to a landing area where breakfast is served each morning.Off the landing is the bedroom and the private bathroom.

The large bedroom has a king-size bed and there is a sitting area with a two seater sofa with a flat-screen TV that has freeview and a built in dvd player. there is free Wi-fi and tea and coffee making facilities.

The bathroom is large with a separate shower and bath. Guests have exclusive use of this area.

Breakfast

Breakfast is served in your own quarters with numerous choices of cereal, fruit juices, fresh fruit salad and yoghurt, porridge toast and pastries. A full Northumbrian cooked breakfast using locally soursed produce and lighter options such as Swallow Fisheries smoked salmon, eggy bread bacon and maple syrup, and the usual poached or scrambled eggs on toast or a muffin etc.

There are numerous places to eat within a short stroll and they include, Indian, Thai, Cantonese, Italian, and of course English.
